The Villain's Assistant

Evie Sage needs money to feed her family. That's the only reason she agrees to work for the Villain, the greatest enemy of the kingdom. The job, to put it mildly, is not ideal: for example, one has to get used to bodies on the desk and severed heads hanging from the ceiling. And yet it's hard not to fall a little in love when your boss is the young and beautiful Dark King. But soon it becomes clear that there are rats in the Villain's castle... and not just in the literal sense.
