The work of Galina Shcherbakova is a collection of such different yet similar stories about the search for happiness. In each of her works, there is a place for the all-encompassing feeling without which life would lose its meaning — love. Vera lives solely with the problems of her family: her eternally ill husband Kostya and her fifteen-year-old son Romka. Actually, Vera is satisfied with everything until her husband's first love suddenly appears on the horizon — the beauty Lyudmila with her daughter Yulia.
