The Calligraphy of Murder

A maniac has appeared in the capital, whose criminal "handwriting" is marked by a strange regularity – all the murders are strikingly similar to the crimes committed by three famous maniacs during Soviet times. The current murderer meticulously selects victims... in different districts, deals with them, transports them to a specific location, and lays them out exactly as the previous bodies once were. And he leaves no traces behind. Colonel Guryev and Colonel Kryachko of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with psychology students assigned to assist them, suspect that the criminal might use a network of underground passages beneath Moscow for discreet transportation of the bodies. The operatives descend into the underground and discover a bunker equipped with a bathtub containing traces of fresh blood. It seems that this is where the newly minted maniac has been processing the bodies… The detectives decide to set a trap in the bunker, still unaware of what will follow their hasty decision…
