Shades of Gray

In a world where society is based on a hierarchy based on the perception of color, Eddie Brown, the “red,” arrives with his father in the small town of East Carmine. He has elaborate plans to take advantage of his exotic perception of the color red and marry into a powerful family. But instead, Eddie will have to fight the treacherous “yellows” and make a risky friendship with a “gray” named Jane, who will show Eddie that the world he sees is as much an illusion as the color itself.
