We first become acquainted with this story in childhood in a greatly abbreviated version, adapted for a young reader, but this edition offers the full version and is not at all for children. Thus begins the hero’s sixteen-year journey: from Lilliput to the country of horses with the mind of a man - the Houyhnhnms.
