During the combat actions in Afghanistan, Tan Warner is mortally wounded. Before his death, he makes his friend, Mike Moretti, promise to work for three months as the manager of his ranch in Texas. Mike cannot let his friend down and goes to the "Tamblin T" ranch, where he meets his friend's widow, Vivian, who inherited millions from Tan and will inherit billions from her father after his death.
