While sorting through her parents' belongings after their death, Laura Campion came across letters revealing that her out-of-wedlock daughter had not died, as she had been assured. Shocked, Laura set out to find her child. Soon, she learned that the girl was being raised by Lord Avery Wickham, cousin of her deceased beloved.
