In Hand with a Demon

The manga by Yosuke Takahashi is characterized by a distinctly moralizing nature, somewhat reminiscent of classic fables.

The passionate desire for something that engulfs Takahashi's heroes turns into obsession and then becomes sin.

And as we know, sins must be paid for.

Besides established ideas about ghosts, werewolves, and other mythical creatures, the author mocks some modern pursuits, such as the desire to be more beautiful than one was created by God, or the widespread fight against obesity, reducing seemingly good intentions to what they actually represent—vanity as a form of moral deformity.
