Dasha Blagova's novel is a story of growing up, searching, and finding oneself.

Its heroine, Nastya, grew up in a small southern town, studied hard, got into the journalism faculty of Moscow State University, and now tries to fit into a... new, beautiful, and interesting, yet completely different life. Having cut ties with her family, Nastya tries to find her place but increasingly feels lonely, foolish, and provincial. Friendship with a beautiful and successful friend, which initially seems saving, turns into a painful dependence for her. In the dull corridors and dim rooms of the dormitory, Nastya seems to live through the worst days of her life and sink deeper into despair and depression.
Growing up, building mature relationships, and finding support comes to Nastya through love and support from loved ones, the return of her own southern identity, and the desire to help others gives her the opportunity to find inner meaning.
