Teenager Savenko, or Self-portrait of a bandit in adolescence

The second book of the “Kharkov trilogy” by Eduard Limonov is the diary of a rebel and anarchist in his youth. Eddie-baby wanders around Kharkov with poems in his head, longing in his heart and a razor in his pocket. Wandering in search of money, he leads the reader along the working-class outskirts of the city of his childhood, dreaming of becoming a noble robber. But the times of Robin Hoods are over, replaced by the time of hucksters and bandits opposing the “goat tribe.”
