Leningrad, 1937. Kostya is sixteen, his life consists of familiar activities - studying, drawing, walking in his beloved city, meeting with his childhood friend Asya. But dark times are coming. His father's arrest, fear for his mother, family secrets, first feelings - all this descends upon Kostya at once. He must fight for the truth and move forward at all costs.
