The Man Who Returned from Afar

André de Labossier, a wealthy widower and industrialist, hastily departs for Bordeaux, entrusting his two small children, the luxurious Château La Rosère, and the management of the factory to his brother Jacques and his wife Fanny. Five years pass without any news from him, until one day, during a dinner party at La Rosère, a group of guests interested in spiritualism decides to hold a séance, during which the spirit of André appears and reveals that he was murdered… Jacques and Fanny think it's someone's silly joke. But how to explain the mysterious disappearance of André? And how does the ghost know the circumstances of his demise?
