Joe Spork repairs clocks. He tries to forget about the legacy of his father, one of the most powerful gangsters in London, and leads a quiet, unnoticed life. Eddie Banister was long ago a spy for Her Majesty's Service, but... has aged and retired. Everything goes its course until Joe restores a completely unusual winding mechanism, thus triggering the doomsday machine invented back in the 1950s. Sinister monks worshiping John Ruskin, psychopathic killers, mad geniuses, and real supervillains begin to appear in his once peaceful life. Soon he realizes that all intelligent life in the Universe is in danger. And now Joe must help Eddie complete the mission she left behind many years ago, as well as summon the courage to remember his parent's legacy and do his best to save the world. But it will not be easy.
