Vera achieved everything in life by herself: a successful business, comfort, travels. What more does a person need for happiness? And as for her personal life not working out — perhaps it's for the better, fewer problems. She did not want to remember her youth in the dusty, shabby town of Enskt, from where she once fled. And even more so, she did not want to recall that she fled not only from the city but also from her husband — the handsome Gera Soldat, a local crime boss. She ran away with nothing but what she had on, because she could no longer close her eyes to what her beloved husband was doing. But the past does not let one forget. Years later, Vera comes to Enskt on business and unexpectedly here, in this hated little town, fate offers her a chance not only to radically change her life but also to fill it with meaning.
