Doctor Adder

E. Allen Limit works on a ranch in Phoenix. The chickens raised there are chickens in the broadest sense of the word. One day, Limit gets a chance to change his life. He goes to Los Angeles to sell a... certain artifact to the mysterious Doctor Adder. Upon meeting the buyer, Limit finds himself drawn into a long-standing confrontation between a talented surgeon who settled on the Interface (a zone of alienation between territories owned by rival factions) and the "Moral Forces" of local televangelist John Mox. Limit must decide whose side he is on, dive into the dirty and soulless world of the City of Angels, visit the underground Rat City, meet an old friend, and even communicate with an alien.
