On the Fleeting Nature of Life

Lucius Annaeus Seneca (circa 55 BC – 40 AD) was a Roman Stoic philosopher, trained in rhetoric in Rome, the author of speeches and tragedies, philosophical treatises and letters.

Seneca's philosophical dialogues are instructions in Stoicism, a teaching on how to live a worthy and meaningful life for a person who has nothing to believe in and no one to rely on; they are a sermon on resilience in the face of life's blows and a kind of spiritual therapy for all of us.
The collection includes the treatises "On the Happy Life," "On the Fleeting Nature of Life," "On the Firmness of the Wise Man," "On Providence," and "On Anger."
