Kalevala. The Song of the Ancient North

The book presents fragments of the Karelian-Finnish poetic epic Kalevala translated by Leonid Belsky, accompanied by colorful illustrations from the exhibition of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Karelia Universe of Kalevala. This literary work, created in the 19th century by Finnish linguist Elias Lönnrot based on folk songs, provides not only engaging reading but also allows one to immerse in the magical world of tales and legends, explore the culture and history of Finland and Karelia, as well as appreciate the grandeur and beauty of Finno-Ugric poetry.
