Everything comes back

Uncle Gurgen, the hero of the story “Portrait,” utters important words: “In order to paint pictures, you definitely need light. Only it always seemed to me that its source should be inside the artist, and not outside him.” It’s the same with writing: impressions alone are not enough; they need to be illuminated by humanity and mercy.
