Stories about the prophets. From Adam to Muhammad

Here is a collection of legends about the prophets, compiled from the books of one of the most famous Muslim scholars, Ibn Kathir. He was known as a muhaddith (collector and custodian of hadith) and mufassir (interpreter of the Quran).... Ibn Kathir reported his information in a style traditional for the ahl al-hadith - people who collected and stored in memory traditions about the life and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad. The basis of the story of each prophet is the Revelation of the Qur'an, to which are added in the form of explanations the sayings of the Prophet, his companions and the great Muslim scholars of the past. Each legend indicated in the book was not invented by Ibn Kathir, but was heard by him from teachers and verified for accuracy.
