The early eighties. Military pilot-instructor Captain Alexey Shevtsov is sent to Algeria to train flight personnel. The appearance of a Soviet specialist has sparked genuine interest among the local military, especially among those who are not too sympathetic to the USSR. Some of the trainees directly provoke the captain, but he tries not to react to their schemes. Everything changes drastically when Shevtsov, paired with his friend during a training flight, supposedly accidentally finds himself over the territory of a neighboring state…
