Lotus

To the whole world, he was a little boy who went missing on the fourth of July. To me, he was everything. When Oliver disappeared, my heart shattered. I didn’t know how to continue living.  
But more than twenty years have passed, I have learned to cope with the unbearable feeling of emptiness in my soul, and everything went on as usual.
Least of all did I expect that after so many years I would see my childhood friend, who had disappeared so long ago, again. But here he is, standing right in front of me. Torn by fate and having endured terrible trials.
