This book has gone through more than 20 editions and has been translated into several foreign languages, which is not surprising, as the author convincingly argues that in the coming decades the USA will cease to exist as a cohesive... territory and consolidated population. The book was written at a time when the USA was at the height of its power. After the collapse of the USSR, the disintegration of the Eastern European bloc of socialist states, and the defeat of Yugoslavia, it seemed there were no limits to America's power. However, the prominent Russian scientist and writer Oleg Platonov debunked the main myths about this country: about American democracy, which in reality is a modern form of totalitarianism and dictatorship; about the mighty American economy, which is in fact a sophisticated form of a financial pyramid and parasitism on the resources of other countries; about American culture, which is anti-culture, a means of degradation and savagery of man.
