Kozma Petrovich Prutkov (1803-1863) — a fictional author, literary mask, collective pseudonym under which in the 1850s and 1860s, works were published by poet Count Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy, and brothers Alexei, Vladimir, and Alexander Zhemchuzhnikov. The book is adorned with 262 illustrations by the animator, caricaturist, and book designer Sergei Petrovich Tyunin.
