The Dead Kingdom

Ivel — a scavenger, she deals with the dead better than with the living. When an accident takes the life of the army commander, Ivel decides to master witchcraft and resurrect him to protect the Kingdom from war. A monster rules over the principalities — the Dead Prince. He is being attempted to be dethroned by steppe invaders, preachers imposing a new faith, and even neighboring princes. Careless witchcraft raises the dead, the Great Woods takes its toll in living souls, battles flare up here and there, but no one has the power to rewrite their fate.
