Maria Foucaro lives happily in a big house on the outskirts of Stockholm with her little son Vincent, her ideal new husband Samir, and her stepdaughter - the teenager Yasmin. But one day, the family idyll is shattered. On a cold December night, Yasmin disappears without a trace. Detectives Gunnar Viik and Ann-Britt Svensson take on the investigation. Soon the police arrest Samir on suspicion of murdering his daughter. Maria cannot believe it, but gradually doubts begin to engulf her… Didn't he have conflicts with his daughter?
