Four friends – Anna, Cassie, Dex, and Bo – witnessed the rape of a girl. They did not intervene. They did not call for help. They simply preferred to pretend that nothing happened. But why now, when the body of this girl is found in the Thames and Cassie suggests going to the police, do the other three so stubbornly discourage her?
