In a distant corporate future, every space expedition is required to obtain permission, equipment, and special security androids from the Company. But in a real economy, security is not the main concern.
On a distant planet, a team of scientists is conducting research, guarded by the Company’s thinking android. After it "hacked" its control module, it gained freedom and began to call itself "Killbot." People do not interest it, and all it really wants is to watch alone the downloaded media library with 35,000 hours of movies and series. However, the mission and the planet itself prove to be much more dangerous than the Company briefing suggested. And the Killbot will have to figure out what is going on and how it is all connected.
"Exit Strategy"
Who would have thought that a heartless killing machine is constantly faced with moral choices?
The beloved anti-social android is once again unwillingly drawn into adventures. It dreams of being left alone and simply freed from human society. But the authorities begin to ask more and more uncomfortable questions, and the Killbot prefers to resolve these issues personally. To resolve them once and for all.
"Network Effect"
When the human partners of the Killbot ("not friends", never "friends") are kidnapped and another "not friend" from the past asks for urgent help, the android must choose between inertia and decisive action. Decisive action, as the Killbot imagines it.
"Fugitive Telemetry"
When the Killbot discovers a dead body at the "Preservation" station, it realizes it has to help the security service with the investigation and determine whose body it is, how it was killed (at least that is relatively simple), and why it was killed (apparently, this is important to many people — what a predicament).
