A Thousand Steps in the Night

In the kingdom of Avara, where gods, demons, and mortals coexist, there lived a girl named Miuko, who had long resigned herself to the unremarkable daily life of an innkeeper's daughter. On the day her lips merged in a bittersweet kiss with a demon, a curse fell upon Miuko, and she became an outcast. Gradually, the girl herself begins to transform into a demon, whose touch kills all living things. Now she has only one path: to seek an antidote to regain her former self. With the help of a charming young man in the guise of a magpie and a mysterious demon prince, Miuko must outsmart her enemies, evade hunters, and meet the Lunar gods. But perhaps remaining an uncontrollable demon is Miuko's only chance for salvation?
