What Year Is Love

The story unfolds three times - in 1947, 1967, and 1987. And it always begins with twenty-year-olds Violet and Elbert meeting and falling in love at first sight. But the world around them is new each time, with new settings, priorities, and goals. The world changes, and attitudes toward class differences, gender issues, and the role of women in society change as well. Will love endure, will it save them? Or will new social guidelines prove to be more important?
