The Excess

The Telegram channel «There Are No Innocent» publishes photos of people. And then their bodies are found by the police. On the same day, a post with details of the deceased's life appears on the channel, explaining why he deserved... to die. Thus, one by one, Andrei's friends, with whom he severed all ties, are buried. A few years ago, after a party, he urgently left to study in America and only briefly returned home. This visit, however, will be prolonged. Andrei must learn what secret is being kept from him and how he himself is involved in a series of mysterious disappearances.

«The Excess» is the debut novel of a creative producer from the film company Line Up and Esquire magazine. Boldin weaves together human vices, the reflection of the golden youth, sex, and death. The author has been producing film projects and working with scripts for many years, making it difficult to draw a line between his real life, elements of which he incorporates into the main character's storyline, and artistic fiction. Or perhaps, the entire «Excess» is a frightening truth that once happened in Moscow?
