The Echo of the Dead Lake

The sinister past literally haunts private detective Gwen Proctor. But her present is no less nightmarish. After a bloody incident at school, Gwen's son and other family members once again become prey for the media. To protect her loved ones, Gwen decides to go to North Carolina, where she has been offered a case: to find a missing girl.
Juliet Larson was last seen getting into a car with a guy who was clearly familiar to her. But no one knows anything more about him.
