This book — the first Russian-language monograph about Alexey Gan. Alexander Lavrentiev, an art critic, design historian, professor at the S.G. Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry, a popularizer of the heritage of Russian avant-garde, and the grandson of Alexander Rodchenko and Varvara Stepanova, compiled a portrait of his hero from manifestos, memories of contemporaries, friends, and colleagues, as well as research and critical works about the preserved or reconstructed creative legacy of Gan.
