Based on real events.
1988. An emergency occurred at the Far Eastern Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. One of the students, a Tuvan by nationality, was caught in a romantic relationship with a local Yakut girl. According to... the customs of these peoples, a child born to parents of different nationalities will be considered illegitimate. A fellow student of this school, Viktor Voronov, is called to help his classmate settle relations with the angry relatives of the Yakut girl. In the heat of the conflict, it turns out that unknown individuals have kidnapped the baby and are demanding a ransom. During a conversation with the young mother, Voronov realizes she is hiding something. But what confounds the novice detective the most are the strange attributes left by the kidnappers at the crime scene…
