Love is One

Zinaida Gippius was called Zinaida the Beautiful and the Decadent Madonna because her image combined both the light and demonic sides of her personality. The harmony of her personality was simultaneously permeated with tragedy - a subjective reflection of catastrophic times. But she wrote her poems as if in prayer and considered this a natural state of the soul of any person, perceiving her poems as something more personal than prose, and created them specifically for herself in moments of certain moods and desires. The collection includes three books of the poetess's poetry.
