Rose of Winds

An employee of the Environmental Monitoring Agency, Annely, is increasingly receiving strange assignments from her superiors. The girl suspects that her boss is engaged in illegal activities. Taking advantage of the opportunity, she breaks into his office and discovers documents... related to the transfer of chemical waste to a long-closed enterprise. The documents are dated for a future month, the carrier is «Rose of Winds» - a vessel owned by the agency. To prevent the crime, the girl seeks help from a former classmate who works in the prosecutor's office. The latter, knowing Annely's anxious nature, does not believe her words.
The life of Otto Crossen, the captain of a patrol vessel, is filled with worries. The new ship's doctor, Viktor Nikshich, is constantly in conflict with the cook. Annely's impudent behavior, Nikshich's fiancée, disrupts the captain's personal life. Moreover, in the area adjacent to the submarine base, the «Rose of Winds» suspiciously often appears - a vessel with which Crossen has old scores. The captain, like Annely, needs evidence against the vessel's owners.
Annely's suggestion to infiltrate the «Rose of Winds» seems to Crossen to be the height of recklessness. Annely is sure that a new batch of chemical waste is being prepared for shipment. Together with Crossen, they head to the dock.
