In the past, a promising journalist, Sanya, long ago gave up on grand ambitions and writes about celebrity scandals. The offer to engage in a serious investigation of a brutal murder in a prison does not appeal to Sanya. There are many strange aspects to the case, involving important figures. But worst of all - the prison is located in Tikhoye, the village where Sanya is from and where he had hoped never to return.
