The Cards of the Ancient Mage

For many centuries, a mysterious deck of cards has intervened in human destinies. According to legend, it was the vessel of the powers of the great sage Hermes Trismegistus. Through the magical cards, the spirits of the sage and his loyal servants called for justice: they protected virtue and punished the sinful. After thousands of years, amateur detective Nadezhda Lebedeva, investigating a series of murders that swept through St. Petersburg, discovers that the victims seemingly correspond to the ranks and suits of playing cards.
