Mastodonya

Clifford Simak is one of the founding fathers of modern science fiction, a literary giant whose work led to the concept of the "golden age of sci-fi" in American literature. In the early stages of his literary career, Simak wrote 'hard' science fiction and adventure stories as well as westerns, but then he expanded the boundaries of the sci-fi genre and developed his own style, which critics described as soft, humanistic, and even pastoral, comparing Simak's prose to that of Ray Bradbury. Over fifty-five years, Simak wrote about thirty novels and more than one hundred and twenty novellas and short stories. He received awards including the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, and others. He was honored with the title of "Grand Master of the Nebula Award." This collection includes four novels from the later stage of Clifford Simak's work. The novel "Mastodonya" is published in a new translation.
