From the Author
I am grateful to nature for all the riches it generously bestows upon us. There is a special pleasure in putting stitch after stitch, reflecting on how the seasons leisurely change one another.
All living things on earth are involved in this cycle: trees, flowers and grasses, insects, birds, animals, and of course, humans. The birth of new life in spring, carefree joy in summer, bountiful fruits in autumn, peace and tranquility in winter. I chose to unify the phenomena of the annual cycle with the theme "Twelve Months." Stitch by stitch, we will follow through all the seasons, exploring their beauty and diversity.
The book presents a variety of patterns: from the simplest to those requiring skill and perseverance. If you are a beginner in embroidery, start with uncomplicated individual motifs. Such patterns are available in every section.
You can decorate various items with embroidery. Or you may stretch the finished work onto a frame and hang it on the wall like a real painting.
In our time of consumer abundance, handcrafting is fading away. Still, I very much hope that this activity will bring you joy and true tranquility.
For whom this book is intended: For embroiderers of any level.
