Winds of Dune

The action of the novel Winds of Dune takes place between the books of the canonical part of the saga – Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. The blind Paul Muad'Dib has disappeared into the desert, leaving the Empire to his sixteen-year-old sister. The fanatical warrior princess Alia, who has become the regent for the twins born to Paul and his beloved Chani, tries to rule the Empire with the help of the devoted Duncan Idaho.
