The Investigation of the Sombrero

An American humorist, saddened by the departure of his Japanese girlfriend, begins to write a funny story about how one day an icy black sombrero falls from the sky onto the main street of a provincial town. Unsatisfied with his composition, the writer throws the manuscript into the trash can. However, the story that was born in his mind starts to unfold on its own, without his participation.
