Developing Attention and Thinking: for Children from 6 Years

Attention and the ability to think logically are skills that can and should be developed even before a child goes to school. In the lower grades, a student's distractibility, inattentiveness, and inability to concentrate cause many mistakes. To prevent this,... preschoolers should be given tasks that require attention, gradually increasing their complexity. At the same time, the tasks themselves should be engaging, so that the child enjoys and wants to complete them. In this manual, all tasks are game-like and will elicit ongoing interest. By completing them, the child will learn to: • concentrate attention; • quickly switch from one type of activity to another; • pay attention to small details while focusing on the main task; • demonstrate persistence in achieving results.
