A Bad Good Day of Alexei Turov

Turov, the main character of the story that gave its name to this collection, considered himself a successful, lucky person, and if he had been offered to replay something in life, he would have just laughed: one could not dream of a better life. He lived without thinking or remembering until he met an old friend Gradov, a person from a distant past, from a poor - no, from a destitute - youth, when dreams were so sweet, when he was sure that happiness is not in money and not in social status, but in love. True love, which takes your breath away, that throws you from sharp happiness to hopeless despair. And he had such love. And there was music, and there were dreams. But did he outgrow all this? Forgot, crossed out from life. The meeting with an old friend seemed to melt the respectable Mr. Turov. Now he understands: there is much he would like to replay. But is it possible?
