Very detailed... many different characters - dozens!... On one picture across the entire page, you can discern several completely independent storylines. For each such storyline, you can come up with your own little story. And not just one. The number of children looking at such a picture will be equal to the number of different stories with the same characters.
Based on one large illustration, where several independent plot lines can be seen, entertaining and developing games, interesting tasks, and puzzles can be created.
These properties are characteristic of books that are commonly referred to as «wimmelbuch».
For example, this wimmelbuch is called «Cheerful Farm». The book tells about the animals - residents of almost all European livestock farms.
Moreover, as we have already noted, it is described in numerous details that literally abound in the drawing. «Wimmelbuch» translates from German as: an abundant book.
But here's what is curious. Everything is indeed described in great detail, in the minutest details, but... at the same time, there is not a single paragraph of text.
The thing is, the illustrations in the wimmelbuch are created in such a way that the drawings themselves tell about all the characters.
All the characters seem to be in motion and interacting with one another. It becomes very easy to «read» such pictures without any accompanying description, to come up with different stories, and to create developing and logical games.
