The Diary of My Disappearance

In a cold forest on the outskirts of a remote Swedish village, Urmberg, an elderly woman is discovered. Her clothing is torn, her hair is disheveled, and her face and bare feet are injured. But the most alarming thing is that she remembers nothing. This unfortunate woman is police psychologist Hanne Lagerlind-Schön.

Just a few weeks earlier, she had arrived with her colleague Peter from Stockholm to investigate an old unsolved case: eight years ago, remains of a five-year-old girl were found in an ancient burial site. Hanne was suffering from early dementia but hid her illness and kept a detailed diary. 

However, now her colleague has disappeared, the diary is lost, and Hanne remembers absolutely nothing about the events of the last few days. Neither the police nor Hanne suspect that the diary has not been lost without a trace. The only difference is that it is now in the hands of a person who cannot tell anyone about their discovery…
