It is terrible that I came to a wealthy, well-fed town, taking on the guise of a gypsy camp.

Gypsies, eternal wanderers, entertain the crowd for small coins and possess ancient secrets of dark witchcraft. And when the life-satisfied lawyer Billy Halleck accidentally hits an old woman from the camp with his car and does not face punishment for what happened, the "gypsy baron" punishes him himself.
