Children's Chess. The First Year. Pieces and Rules, Basics of Attack and Defense Tactics and Simple Checkmates

The textbook consists of 32 lessons of 45 minutes each. The new chess textbook by grandmaster Nikolai Kalinichenko and coach Kirill Kuznetsov is intended for both self-study and group instruction in chess. It can be used as the basis for a school chess course. The material is presented in simple language, understandable even to students in lower grades. By the end of the first year of study, students will learn to consciously move pieces on the board, attack and defend, calculate the consequences of their actions, and perform simple checkmates.
