War Chest

"War Chest" – is a deep abstract strategy game that will be a worthy challenge for your tactical thinking. You will lead an army and take control of the battlefield by occupying strategically important positions with your troops and preventing... enemy forces from taking them. The game features many types of troops, each with its unique characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. For example, archers can shoot enemy troops from a distance but are powerless in close combat, while crossbowmen combine ranged attacks with melee, but ranged attacks have additional limitations. There are as many as 16 types of units in the game, which means you will have to think carefully about which ones will be more useful: better at combining with other units or more effective at destroying enemies.
"War Chest" was released in 2018 and has already won the hearts of the gaming community: it ranked sixth in the BoardGameGeek abstract games ranking and received numerous positive reviews. The rules provide options for playing with two or four players – two teams of two players each. The second variant of the rules is especially interesting in that you and your ally will need to understand each other very well and adhere to a single strategy to defeat the opposing team. If each player sticks to their own plan and does not rely on the second player, you will be overwhelmed one by one. Work together and find out who is better on the battlefield!
