Batman. Legends of the Dark Knight. Images

«Images» is an allusion to the first issue of the «Batman» series from 1940, which was published on April 24. In that issue, Joker made his first appearance in one of the stories and immediately went all in: killing and... robbing, his victims included the wealthy, gangsters, police officers, and even a judge. The criminal did not think of hiding much and left his business cards everywhere, as if mocking Batman. The Joker even took Robin hostage (this was long before the crowbar incident). The first appearance of the sworn enemy-friend became a real test for the Dark Knight. The retelling of that story was done by Dennis O'Neil, bringing Batman back to the time when the Joker first challenged him. The new version of the classic story also has some references to Frank Miller's comic «Batman: Year One». The Joker gathered the most outstanding psychos of Gotham, including his cousin Melvin, to pull off a big job. The gang will intimidate the city's rich, threatening them with death, and demand payment to let them live. The plan is pretty weak, but the Joker has innovations, like a special serum that makes people laugh to death. However, Batman has his own plan – he intends to stop the Joker, even though they haven't really met yet…
