Among the tales included in the collection are legends about mythical creatures from Celtic and Scottish folklore, stories of friendship, love, and loyalty, as well as interesting, very unusual, and extremely instructive Scottish versions of well-known tales about Kolobok and Little Red Riding Hood.

The tales are written in a beautiful literary language with a considerable dose of humor, wonderfully translated and edited, and specially adapted by the author-compiler of the book for preschool children.
